We will be taking a break this week from our regular lesson in order to prepare for the upcoming Shards of Alara limited season.

Lesson #2: Every Play is Made for a Reason

Posted Fri - September 26, 2008 by JT Porter

Having a game plan is something that is often overlooked by most players. Players tend to play the game as the cards come. As a result, they blindly play every card that they draw immediately and rely on topdecks to feed them the card that they need for any given situation. As we all know, relying on luck is not a very good plan, but why do we keep counting on it? How far do you think you would go if you do not need luck on your side? Sadly, we cannot eliminate the luck factor, but we can play in such a way that we would not need to depend on it so much.

Chillin' before Nats

Posted Thu - August 16, 2007 by JT Porter

I can’t help but notice the strange silence from the competitive players, specifically the competitors for Nationals, in the forums. I guess it’s safe to say that everyone is busy trying to come up with new tech.
